Beneficial botanical terpenes
Inside each scent.
A closer look at the botanical character of each jar. Shares are taken from the supplier’s visual profile (Extract Consultants), not a lab COA on our batch. We share aroma notes and traditional associations — Antidote remains a cosmetic balm, never a treatment.

Afterglow
Frankincense, orange, clove, vanilla, ginger.
SHOP AFTERGLOW
Incense and citrus up top, warm spice and vanilla underneath. Built from single botanical oils plus vanilla terpenes rather than one supplier blend, so there is no supplier terpene chart to show — just the notes, roughly in the order you smell them.
- Frankincense
- Resin and soft smoke. The quiet, church-candle top note. Fades first if the lid is left off.
- Sweet orange
- Peel brightness (mostly limonene). Lifts the resin so it reads cozy, not heavy.
- Clove + ginger
- The warm spice. A gentle warmth on the nose; used sparingly — clove is a known skin sensitiser.
- Vanilla terpenes
- The soft, sweet base that lingers after the citrus fades.
No percentage bars for Afterglow: it is a house blend of individual oils, not a charted supplier profile. Cosmetic balm. Patch-test.

Candy Cane
Peppermint and vanilla — cool, then sweet.
SHOP CANDY CANE
Peppermint and vanilla carry the jar. Menthol is the cool edge; vanilla softens the finish so it reads candy cane, not toothpaste.
- Peppermint oil
- Mentha leaf oil. Candy-cane top note. Cooling on skin because of its menthol content — a sensation, not a cure.
- Menthol
- The molecule that reads cold. Used in balms and liniments for that clean sting. Keep away from eyes.
- α-Pinene + β-Pinene
- Pine and rosemary air. In aromatherapy they are the “walk in the woods” notes — alert, dry, green.
- D-Limonene
- Citrus peel. Brightens the mint so the finish is sweet, not medicinal.
Reported qualities below are traditional / literature associations for the isolated molecules. Antidote Candy Cane is a cosmetic balm. Not a drug. Patch-test.
Limonene is the orchard. Natural flavors build the peach-and-cream body. Myrcene and caryophyllene put earth and pepper under the sugar so it doesn’t float away.
- D-Limonene
- Orange and lemon rind. The ripe-peach brightness. Often described in aroma work as clean and lifted.
- Myrcene
- Mango, hops, thyme. Soft earth under the fruit. Traditionally talked about as a settling, dusk note.
- β-Caryophyllene
- Black pepper and clove. The cream’s backbone. Warm and peppery on the nose; we sell a scent, not a therapy.
- Linalool
- Lavender and rosewood. Floral hush that makes the peach read as cream instead of candy.

Vanilla Cookies
Vanilla Creme. Bakery, not frosting.
SHOP VANILLA COOKIES
EC does not publish a pie for Vanilla Creme. Primaries they list: β-caryophyllene, β-pinene, myrcene, with limonene and natural flavors on the side. If the bottle has settled, warm water bath and roll — do not boil.

- Pepper warmth under the sugar so it reads bakery, not candy.
- β-Pinene + myrcene
- Dry wood and a little earth. Keeps the cream from floating.

Ember
Warming blend. After the work.
SHOP EMBER
A spicy, wintergreen-forward warming blend from the same supplier. On skin it reads warm and tingly — a sensation, not a treatment. That chemistry is why this tin is not a face cream.
- Wintergreen / spice
- Warming rub family. Goes through skin. Hands, shoulder, after the plane — not the face, not the eyes.
- In the jar
- 0.5–3% by weight in tallow. The leftover concentrate in the amber bottle is not the balm.
- Who skips it
- Kids. Broken skin. Aspirin-sensitive. Anyone who wants a dessert tin instead.
- Stock bottle
- Lot 2001000105. Manufacturer use only. Gloves. Ventilated bench. Out of reach of children.
Comfort balm, not a medicine, not a Health Canada monograph. Patch-test on the arm. If it flushes you hard, wash it off and stop.
